I downgraded Ease and Support: I would have added the Viewing|Editing option to the FILE menu but that is just me. Once the Edit mode was active, all was good again. In all honesty, I don't use MAPS tab much as I usually only have one map open at a time. I don't recall ever being given that choice before. I found, under the Maps tab, two options, with Viewing selected. I did not explore FreePlane as thoroughly as I should have. My view is that you are offering a product that does not work in a common environment.
